Journalist and communications specialist, with 15 years experience, Almeiri Santos has dual Canada-Brazil citizenship. Major print and TV experience in Sao Paulo, Brazil with CNT/Gazeta and TV Bandeirantes. Reporting on economic issues for Lusa - the most important Portuguese news agency - Sao Paulo and Lisbon. Extensive experience in internal communications for major companies working with Internal and external communications: Caterpillar Inc, Spal/Coca Cola, Parmalat, BIC of Brazil and Merck & Co. Also special PR projects through Brazilian affiliate of Porter Novelli “In Press Porter Novelli”. Editor of the Brazilian community newspaper in Toronto “Brasil News”.
Currently the editor-in-chief of RealTrade Americas Online - the first Canadian publication dedicated to the bilateral relations between Brazil and Canada launched in mid 2008. She is also Chair of the Communication Committee for BCCC (Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce). Recently appointed member of the Tourism Committee to Canada “Visit Brazil” of Embratur - the Brazilian Tourist Authority. |

Ceres Silva

Ceres Christina Silva has come to Canada in 2001 from Brazil with a strong background in Market Research and analysis. There, she worked as an Analyst for a respectful Full Marketing Agency with Clients such as Knorr and Arisco. She would assist manufactures to understand and be closer to their customers in order to fulfill their brand expectations and expand into new markets.
In Canada, Ceres used her entrepreneur skills to open a restaurant. In less than 2 years she was able to double the sales and provide superior customer experience. Her marketing background helped her to build brand awareness in the chosen market and to successfully conduct her business.
In 2007, in order to improve her marketing skills on an International level, Ceres engaged in an international Business program at Seneca College. She graduated with a GPA 4.0 and has been awarded a High Honours diploma plus a "Sales to Success" award by Pearson Publisher.
Ceres joined the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce as an International Trade Officer in 2009. At the Chamber, she highlights opportunities to expand trade and investment between Brazil and Canada, produces global market studies and maximizes connections among attendees in International trade events enhancing business development for profitable relationship.
She has recently joined Real Trade Magazine team with the objective to maintain and foster commercial relationship between Canada and Brazil. She is developing extensive research on Brazil’s market and scouting market identification. Ceres is working on a Marketing Strategy for prospect web partners and on the logistics to facilitate online information retrieval for International investors. |
